| Max Laeuger for Karlsruhe Majolica Standing Elephant (Elefant) - (Item #1268) Rare small vintage blue crazed majoleca glazed ceramic standing elephant (Stehender Elefant) with raised trunk. One of a series designed by Max Laeuger (or Läuger) (1864-1952) between 1923 and 1928 – this one believed to be designed in 1927 - and produced by Majolika-Manufaktur Karlsruhe company of Germany. Impression marked on three of its feet with Germany, the Karlsruhe company logo and numbered 3051 23.
